LoRa Converter and Gateway

LoRa (Long Range) is a wireless communication technology specifically designed for long-range, low-power connectivity in IoT (Internet of Things) applications. Utilizing a spread spectrum modulation technique, LoRa enables devices to communicate over distances of up to 15 kilometers (about 9 miles) in rural areas and several kilometers in urban settings, all while consuming minimal power.

LoRa operates in unlicensed frequency bands, typically in the sub-GHz range (such as 868 MHz in Europe and 915 MHz in North America), making it accessible for various applications without the need for costly licensing fees. Its ability to support low data rates (up to 50 kbps) is well-suited for applications that transmit small amounts of data, such as sensor readings or status updates.
